RPC

zecnerod exposes a JSON-RPC interface compatible with Zebra’s. If your code already talks to a Zebra node, most of it will work unchanged.

testnetMainnet
RPC address127.0.0.1:18732port 8732

Keep RPC bound to localhost. See Ports and firewall.

Example request

curl -s -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--data '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"getblockcount","params":[]}' \
http://127.0.0.1:18732
TODO

Confirm that getblockcount is enabled, and whether RPC needs a cookie or password. Update the example to match.

Methods

TODO

List the supported RPC methods and note any that differ from upstream Zebra (for example getblocktemplate, submitblock, getblockchaininfo, getinfo, getblock, getrawtransaction, sendrawtransaction, getaddressbalance, getaddressutxos, z_gettreestate). Mark Zecnero-specific fields such as the founder output. Fill from the zecnerod source.

Wallet RPC

Zebra does not include a built-in wallet. Services that need to hold keys and build transactions use a separate wallet layer.

TODO

Document the supported wallet backend for services (for example a lightwalletd plus wallet SDK setup or another tool) and how it connects to zecnerod.
