P2P
Open the P2P port for inbound TCP if you want other nodes to connect to you. Your node syncs fine with outbound connections only, but inbound peers help the network.
With ufw:
sudo ufw allow 18733/tcp
With firewalld:
sudo firewall-cmd --permanent --add-port=18733/tcp
sudo firewall-cmd --reload
If you are behind a home router, forward TCP 18733 to the machine running the node.
RPC
Keep RPC on 127.0.0.1. Do not expose the RPC port to the internet. RPC can control the node and, with a wallet, move funds.
If another machine needs RPC access, use an SSH tunnel:
ssh -N -L 18732:127.0.0.1:18732 user@your-node-host
Mainnet
Mainnet has not launched. When it does, the P2P port is 8733 and RPC is 8732.
