Install the wallet
The current wallet release is 0.2.1. It connects to the public node node.zecnero.org by default, so it works straight after install without a local node.

The wallet currently runs on testnet. Testnet coins have no value.
Download
Download the wallet for your platform from zecnero.org/wallets. Files are hosted at downloads.zecnero.org.
Check the signature and checksum before you run it. See Verifying downloads.
List supported platforms, file names and install steps for wallet 0.2.1 (installer, AppImage, archive, and so on).
First run
- Create a new wallet.
- Write down the seed phrase on paper. See Backups and seed safety.
- Set a password for the wallet file.
- Copy a receiving address.
Confirm the seed phrase length and format used by wallet 0.2.1 and whether it uses the Zcash ZIP 32 derivation with the requested coin type.
What’s coming
Orchard support is in progress. The longer-term direction is a full-node wallet in the style of the Monero GUI, where the wallet can run and manage its own node.
Add Orchard wallet status once it ships.
